The EHS manager is a key leader responsible for providing regulatory technical service support to Circon and its customer base through the development of EH&S regulatory programs and associated training.

  • Assists with the management of corporate Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and corporate policies.
  • Creates and provides necessary EH&S training programs for employee and customer base.
  • Conducts EH&S audits and inspections at Circon and at its customer locations and recommend required corrective actions to ensure compliance with EH&S regulatory agency requirements based on results of the audits.
  • Develops written EH&S regulatory compliant programs for external customer base.
  • Travels to and works at customer facilities in order to provide technical compliance services and training.
  • Acts as a technical resource for environmental, health and safety, and hazardous materials compliance of federal, state and local regulations (EPA, OSHA, and DOT) to Circon and its customer base.
  • Provides consultation and advice on regulatory matters of a highly technical nature to Circon and its customer base.
  • Coordinates internal emergency/disaster preparedness and response programs
  • Provides new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.
  • Develop and maintain medical monitoring programs for company employees.
  • Maintain and interpret OSHA injury/illness calculations using this information to control and reduce internal accident and injury rates.
  • Communicate technical information orally and written.
  • Performs other job-related duties assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field requires; Advances education and training in OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, Emergency Response Preparedness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
  • Prior experience working in the waste industry
  • Working knowledge of safety rules and regulations at all levels of government including federal, state, and local laws

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, see or hear
  • May be subject to heat and cold stress environments, both inside and outside the facility
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing and walking in the plant.
  • The worker may be exposed to hazards when in the plant such as moving vehicles, moving mechanical parts
