Studio Monitors
Studio Monitors will primarily work with the Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to uphold MICA guidelines in independent studio spaces. Relevant job training will be provided to the selected candidate.
Requirements:
  • Perform responsibilities to include identifying and documenting known health and safety violations within established provided parameters.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to a changing environment and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to, on occasion; lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work 5 - 10 hours per week, as needed.
  • Assist with special EHS projects as assigned.
Physical demands and work environment:
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must lift up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. (may be adjusted depending on position)
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The working environment can be dirty and dusty.
  • Required training: Handbook orientation, Anti-Harassment, Hazard Communication, Emergency Plans & Fire Prevention, Personal Protection Equipment. (additional training may be added, SEE: EHS Manager training schedule)
