Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Environmental Planner 1 include working on a wide variety of environmental documentation projects. Conducts environmental research; writes documents; evaluates potential impact of projects; devises mitigating measures. Working under the supervision of an Environmental Planner 2 or Senior Environmental Planner, this position will be responsible for research and preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents, including coordination with environmental specialists preparing technical reports to be integrated into project deliverables. #LI-JF1

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in environmental science or related field.
• Excellent analytical writing and communication skills.
• Experienced in MS Office Suite.

• Background in transportation (highways, Caltrans, rail, water, renewables) preferred.
• Previous environmental planning experience
• Preference will be given to local candidates

The expected compensation range for this position is $56,672.00 - $80,960.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
