We are currently seeking a full-time Associate Field Geologist position for our Whitehouse Station, New Jersey office. The successful candidate will provide technical support for a wide range of projects including a variety of field investigations and remediation programs.
Your Role:
Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems
Support and collaborate with project staff during site assessment and remediation field tasks
Implement field investigations including air, soil gas, soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater sampling programs under the direction of an LSRP, registered Professional Geologist or Engineer
Implement remedial activities and conducting system operation and maintenance at commercial and industrial sites
Work efficiently within deadlines, both independently and on project teams of projects of various sizes and scope
Oversee drilling to evaluate subsurface conditions, characterize soil, collect samples, and/or install groundwater wells
Oversee subcontractors (e.g., drilling, excavation) and prepare detailed field reporting
Complete data analysis including preparation and interpretation of maps, tables, and figures
Prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, and permits
Adhere to and implement corporate health and safety standards
Qualifications:
- BS Environmental Science, Geology, or Hydrogeology
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- 2 – 4 years of experience in environmental services / consulting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with basic engineering and mathematical concepts and principles
- Ability to travel and perform field work under various conditions
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass background check, as required for project work
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions
