If this sounds like a culture you’d like to be a part of, Bobby Jones Links is hiring an Equipment Manager. Primary responsibilities include:

• Inspects and perform preventative, routine, and immediate repair of all equipment.
• Sharpens and ensure proper height of cut on all cutting units.
• Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment.
• Orders necessary parts and supplies in a timely manner.
• Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
• Assists in the maintenance of the golf course.
• Assists in training of employees on proper and safe operation of all equipment.
• Assists in holding all agronomy department associates accountable for providing top-notch golf course playing conditions.
• Keeping all permits and licenses pertaining to the agronomy department up-to-date.
• Handling all chemicals and hazardous substances safely and according to the law.
• Responsible for the operation of all maintenance equipment, along with calibration and operation of each.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of electrical, gas, diesel, and hydraulic systems.
• Metal fabrication and welding.
• Owns his/her own tools.
• Ability to maintain basic records and warranties.
• Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites.
• Ability to communicate to employees, members, and vendors.

• Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.
• Walk and stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 75 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move heavy objects.
