Bay Ship & Yacht is a modern shipyard located on the water in Alameda at the confluence of the Oakland/Alameda Estuary, and San Francisco Bay! We provide dry-docking and repair services to most commercial and government vessels that operate in the waters of San Francisco Bay. These vessels include: Tugboats, Ferries, Coast Guard Cutters, Cruise Ships, Pilot Boats, Luxury Yachts, and other marine vessels of all kinds. The great variety of marine vessels dry-docked in our yard, provides consistently challenging and interesting work.

Bay Ship & Yacht (BSY) has an immediate job opening for the position of Site Control Technician (SCT). This unique hands-on position primarily supports our Structural Department in the mobilization, setup, maintenance, and demobilization of equipment for an array of projects. The Site Control Technician’s work contributes to the productivity at the job site by minimizing downtime due to equipment problems...in short, they have the aptitude and experience to fix things quickly and correctly! If you have mechanical chops, basic electrical knowledge, and/or welding experience coupled with the desire to build your career through training and innovation, this just might be the position you're looking for!! And to top it off, all work is performed in one of the most beautiful work environments in the Bay Area! Whether it's watching the sun rise over the east Bay Hills or taking a moment to enjoy the views of San Francisco, Oakland, and the Bay Bridge by starlight, this location is hard to beat!

Here's what You must Possess for this Position:

• Mechanical experience
• Equipment maintenance and repair experience
• Basic electrical experience
• Recent welding or welding school experience (a plus, but not required)
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs and the capability to move equipment
• The capabilities to work as a part of a part of a team, and to accomplish tasks individually
• The ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Personal hand tools required to work within the craft
