ER Tech Job at Myrtue Medical Center
Emergency Department. Two positions: one part-time position (16-20 hours per week). Works every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm OR 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. One on-call position; schedule varies; hours are 11:00 am to 11:00 pm OR 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Assists the professional nursing staff and ED medical practitioners in providing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Is responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment for the area. Performs EKGs. Functions under the direct supervision of an RN. Reports to the ED Nurse Manager. Assists with direct patient care including taking vitals, recording data, relaying pertinent information, and assisting with patient care. Completion of approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.
