How will you make an Impact?
- Apply the knowledge of TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) to the specific needs of the students in the class based on the group’s requirements.
- Provide Civics and English as a Second Language instruction to adult immigrants and individuals who are preparing for citizenship.
- Demonstrate genuine compassion when engaging the students in their journey toward citizenship.
Work Hours and Location:
Classes are held in-person Wed/Fri 10-12; Tue/Thu 6-8; and Sat 9-1. Paid prep time can be remote but the classes must be in-person.

- Part-Time position with an hourly rate of $20.00, based on skills and experience.

Experience
Required- Certified on TESOL or equivalent
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance. Must be willing to transport clients in his/her car
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills in English
- 2 year(s): Experience in teaching ESL
- Bilingual both written and oral communication in Spanish strongly preferred
- Familiarity with immigrant and refugee populations and their needs
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Education or related field
