Job Description
As the Estimator you will utilize information gathered from the customer to generate pricing proposals and AutoCAD isometric drawings. In this role, you will be based in Pine Grove; however, you will have the opportunity to communicate with architects, glass shops, general contractors, and residential end-users throughout the country, as well as internationally. In your role, you will typically specialize in specific product types (ex. fenestration vs. structures) and will progress in your role based on the increased complexity of products. You will provide technical expertise to make sure the customer receives the appropriate product based on application, product capabilities, and/or aesthetics. This role guides the customer, providing design advice, while also supporting the Sales Team as a product expert.
YOUR ROLE:

• Generate proposals, estimates, and CAD isometrics for simple structures and/or simple door and window projects
• Meet departmental daily and/or weekly quotas, based on product type (ex. 6 - 8 structural quotes per day; 8 – 10 fenestration quotes per day)
• Assist customers on the phone with the design process, as needed, offering options for value and function
• Support the sales team in creating a client support network internally and externally that meets and exceeds the Company's sales objectives
• Review commercial bids, determine eligibility for quoting, complete take offs, and provide bids for Spec Projects generated from construction lead websites
• Interact with in-house Engineers, Drafters, and Project Managers to collect all necessary information for a project to provide quotes to a customer in a timely manner
• Serve as product expert for potential clients with a positive, professional manner
• Teach sales reps, as needed, when additional information is needed for quote documentation

Qualifications**
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:*__*

• Experience with AutoCAD prefered for Structural Estimating; this experience is preferred for Fenestration Estimating.
• Strong math skills required.
• Ability to work within a deadline-oriented environment, with potential for changing priorities, required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with AutoCAD
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word preferred
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in related field is preferred. Applicable backgrounds include but are not limited to: Drafting, Architectural Design, Interior Design, Construction Disciplines, General Sales, Communications, Business, Mathematics, and Related Disciplines
• Blueprint and Specification Reading experience preferred (these skills are required for experienced candidates)
• Experience in glazing industry and/or possessing an architectural background helpful
