The Special Education Evaluation Lead will be responsible for facilitating the special education initial evaluation process to determine eligibility for scholars K-
Essential functions may include the following:
- Facilitate the evaluation process for initial evaluations and select re-evaluations.
- Collaborate with special education case managers, general education teachers, service providers and families to construct evaluation plans.
- Administer academic assessments using the Woodcock Johnson Test of Achievement lV.
- Conduct scholar observations.
- Write evaluation reports.
- Disseminate and collect forms and questionnaires.
- Parent/family interviews.
- Service provider assessment contact.
- Set up and conduct team meetings and parent share meetings.
- Complete all associated due process paperwork
- Maintain Evaluation Planning Schematic
Competencies
- Current teaching licensure in Special Education or MN license in a related service area (such as Speech and Language Pathologist, Psychologist, etc.) required
- Minimum of 3 years of conducting special education evaluations in the Special Education field required.
