Event Manager Job at LexisNexis
The Event Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing executive and employee events and multifaceted projects. The Event Manager should be an experienced event, production and budget manager, with a keen eye for detail, quality management, budget management, time management, strong negotiation skills and multiple team coordination. The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management.
Event Manager Responsibilities:

Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.

Handling budgeting and invoicing.
-
Liaising and negotiating with vendors.
-
Negotiating sponsorship deals.
-
In partnership with legal team, negotiate and execute contracts with favorable business terms with production contractors.

Handling logistics.
-
In partnership with Marketing, managing branding and communication.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively including managing multiple meetings and events at one time
-
Prepare internal event, production and budget briefings for regular team updates and implementation.

Developing event feedback surveys.

Handling post-event reports - budget and event summary
Event Manager Requirements:

Event management or professional conference management experience in-house or for an event or communications agency, ideally for a minimum of 5-10 years.

Proven strategic planning skills. The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of meeting and event strategy, logistics and best practice principles.

Exhibits ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and analytically.

Communication and marketing skills.

Project management experience.

Good leadership skills.

Highly Organized.

Multi-tasker.

Proficiency in various event software.
