We are looking for an experienced Executive Director. The Executive Director oversees the day-to-day operations, in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, supervising all leadership positions within the Community and is responsible for their performance and for proper communication with Insight Senior Living (management company). The Executive Director sets the tone for the Community and upholds the standards of excellence regarding resident care and satisfaction, employee relations, and key performance indicators. Key performance indicators include occupancy, regulatory compliance, resident, and employee satisfaction and turnover, risk management, financial benchmarks, and property standards. Executive Director duties include:
- Direct the performance of all team members in the Community ensuring policies and procedures are established, documented, and implemented to protect the health and safety of the residents, to meet programming goals, and ensuring the highest degree of customer services.
- Hire, employee, supervise and evaluate qualified team members to ensure the provision of appropriate quality services to residents, operating within the company’s personnel policies; in hiring, thoroughly check employee’s references and background and monitor in person to minimize employee turnover.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to State Licensing for routine, complaint, abuse allegation and other surveys/investigations. Works with DOO to write & submit Plan of Corrections when necessary. Ensures successful implementation of Plan of Corrections that have been accepted/approved by State Licensing.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with licensors and Community and ensure proper and timely communication and responses to state licensor inquiries.
- Operate the Community in a manner which will ensure company profitability by meeting all budget and census guidelines as set by the home office.
- Act as Community Sales Leader: ensures effective performance of all marketing activities included public relations efforts, prospective resident generation, prospective resident follow-up, in order to obtain and maintain full occupancy.
- Hire, employee, supervise and evaluate qualified team members to ensure the provision of appropriate quality services to residents, operating within the company’s personnel policies; in hiring, thoroughly check employee’s references and background and monitor in person to minimize employee turnover.
- Serve as the primary contact for any approved contracted services, directing and evaluating the performance of all service contractors in providing the needed services within company policies.
- Promote and maintain positive relations with residents and their families, providing the necessary contact – including, but not limited to, service plans and dining room interactions while addressing resident and family concerns appropriately.
- Ensure the delivery of quality services and ensure positive resident relations by responding promptly and appropriately to resident needs, requests, and concerns.
- Carry-out resident-directed programming designed to achieve satisfaction by providing meaningful enrichment in the areas of activities and Community involvement.
- Meet with employees regularly to build a cohesive team. This includes daily stand-up meetings and agenda review and follow up.
- Perform daily rounds to review the general cleanliness of the building and grounds and to greet employees and residents.
- Must be accessible and approachable to employees and residents and able to work alongside staff as necessary.
- Develop team leaders through mentorship.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to meet all state and local requirements for employment screening, drug and background screening including abuse registry for certain positions
- Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Having obtained a bachelor’s degree is preferred, high school diploma or equivalent may be considered
- Able to provide evidence of qualifications/requirements specified by State Licensing (see current regulations for licensed Assisted Living/Memory Care for state the community is located) to fulfill the position of Administrator/Manager
- Active Driver’s License with a good driving history
- Knowledgeable and compliant with all state and federal laws and regulations and company policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to policies and procedures regarding job descriptions, duties, and qualifications, required skills and knowledge, education, and experience, orientation and in-service education, and complaint submission procedures related to resident care for employees and volunteers; and maintaining a personnel record for each employee or volunteer
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and after hours/weekends based on community needs to ensure compliance with state regulations and quality services/programming provided for residents twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. On-call and available twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.

- Maintain confidentiality and protect resident’s privacy
- Regular local travel and occasional out-of-state travel for meetings and trainings
- Ability to lead and inspire a team. Have a creative mind seeking continual improvements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. English skills adequate to allow communication with residents and staff and be able to understand written and verbal instructions
- Self-motivation and problem-solving skills
- Must be comfortable with technology and use of various software programs
- Ability to multi-task with an attention to detail, prioritize and have excellent time management
- Follow mandatory reporting requirements and Resident Rights
