Christian Horizons, a well-regarded and resident-centered nonprofit provider, has retained Druthers Agency to assist them in locating a dynamic, strategic operations executive to serve as the next Executive Director of Crown Point Christian Village. This Life Plan Community is located in the NW corner of Indiana, conveniently situated to both Chicago and Indianapolis, and has been a pillar of its community for more than 25 years. This is a unique opportunity with one of the most respected faith-based, senior living organizations in the Midwest.

Crown Point Christian Village serves over 200 residents through the efforts of over 240 employees. The campus is beautifully situated on 70 acres which features gazebos, an orchard, memory garden and a playground for visiting grandchildren. It currently includes 23 independent living garden homes, 48 assisted living apartments, and a 108-bed healthcare facility. Additionally, Crown Point offers a long-term, secure memory support program for those with Alzheimer’s or other forms of memory loss. The organization is committed to investing in this property over the next five years, and Crown Point will undergo extensive renovation and new construction beginning mid to late spring of 2022. Phase 1 will focus on renovations to existing common areas, construction of 82 new independent living apartments including 25 memory care units with a separate courtyard, as well as upgrades to the exterior. Phase 2 would potentially see the construction of additional independent living apartments and additional amenity development.

Successful candidates for this role will be highly knowledgeable regarding the future of senior living, and will be a visionary interested in innovative approaches to identifying future delivery models for care and services to older adults. Due to the extensive renovation and campus development plan, the ED will have experienced campus site development, including renovations and new construction. The ED will embrace a person-centered philosophy and, as part of the organization’s management team, will have input in developing the ongoing strategy and vision for the organization. A Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s Degree in Health Care Management or related field would be preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of senior/executive level experience in a healthcare or senior living/CCRC setting is required. Prior experience as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, including a valid Indiana NHA license or eligibility, is desired but not mandatory.
