Executive Housekeeping Manager – Holiday Inn & Suites Stockbridge, GA

Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms, laundry, guest hallways and elevators. Major responsibilities include ensuring guests are satisfied with hotel cleanliness, responding to guest needs, ensuring safety and security of rooms, maintaining inventory and cost controls. Establishes a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality and provides exemplary performance for Team Members to follow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, organizational specific policies, procedures and practices.

  • Maintains Hotel cleanliness standards for both rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure that standards are met.
  • Trains staff in all aspects of housekeeping, including guest service, and all duties for supervisor, room attendant, housemen, and laundry attendant.
  • Administers guest satisfaction inspection procedures and reports.
  • Maintains key control and lost-and-found, and ensures staff is trained to follow correct procedures for both.
  • Administers and monitors use of Opera to positively impact the operation.
  • Plans work schedules and room assignments with minimum disruption to guests.
  • Leads the laundry operation effectively and efficiently.
  • Empowers hotel staff to deliver superior guest service by encouraging responsiveness to guest needs.
  • Ensures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service.
  • Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel.
  • Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service by responding promptly to guest needs with an interest and concern in satisfying every guest.
  • Communicates to guests about hotel promotions, local attractions and points of interest.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include maintaining sufficient staffing levels; interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
