POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Manager is responsible for directly assisting the Chief of Staff in strategic, operational and administrative activities for Community Catalyst, Community Catalyst Action Fund and the Board of Directors. As a key member of the Executive Team, the Executive Manager will be responsible for project management of key leadership bodies including the Senior Management Team, Extended Senior Management Team; pilot new processes, systems and tools to support organizational wide alignment; and support with drafting internal communications.

This position is classified as confidential status.

SUPERVISION

The Executive Manager will report to the Chief of Staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create presentations, internal newsletters and related staff communications
  • Provide the Chief of Staff with updates on key initiatives by gathering information from project managers, prompting them for any necessary actions.
  • Be responsible for evaluating and reporting on key initiatives with specific attention to successes, challenges and use of resources.
  • Responsible for executing a comprehensive Board management process
  • Maintain records of meetings, prepare materials and notes, track tasks, deadlines, and ensure follow-up for various Board and Senior Management meetings
  • Support with the development of processes and decisions to support program connection, cohesion, and transparency across the full range of Community Catalyst’s teams
  • Serve as a thought and action partner to the Chief of Staff and Senior Director of Operations in facilitating processes to ensure organizational structures, processes, and systems are aligned (and adjusted as needed) with the strategic goals of Community Catalyst
  • Function as the liaison between members of leadership, project teams and a diverse group of stakeholders as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and workgroups as assigned by the Executive Director and Chief of Staff.
  • Other responsibilities, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ degree with 5 or more years of related experience, or relevant work experience
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to develop and facilitate utilization of organizational management tools
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple moving parts and facilitate results from colleagues
  • Strong writing, editing and presentation skills, with an ability to adjust communication approaches across a range of platforms
  • Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and have discretion
  • Team-oriented and flexible

  • Salary Range: $80,000—$90,000
