We are seeking a full-time exercise specialist whose primary role is to provide clinical exercise and wellness training services to our community members in our evolving LifeStyle Medical Practice.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Conduct LifeStyle Medicine consultations for members, including Health Risk Assessments, movement screens, needs analysis, and goal setting in order to recommend appropriate fitness programming and complementary wellness services.
• Develop comprehensive progressive fitness programming to support and motivate participants and ensure optimal lifestyle management
• Collect and analyze clinical outcome data on members and programs
• Monitor, engage and instruct participants in the LifeStyle Medicine center on safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment within the facility.
• Educate members on clinically proven health and fitness education, available fitness and engagement programming, and complementary wellness services.
• Maintain positive customer/client experience by providing the highest quality of service.
• Supervise and oversee students and interns in LifeStyle Medicine Gym

Qualifications and Skills of Successful candidates

• Have at least a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science related field with exercise training experience.
• Possess excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
• Be able to work both collaboratively and independently, and effectively prioritize key tasks.
• Be able to multi-task and possess strong organizational and time management skills to meet required deadlines
• Be a team player with a strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Have strong customer service skills, on the phone, through email and in person and be interested in and attentive to cross-cultural communication
• Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
• Willingness to be creative, develop efficient practices and systems and learn new skills
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, as well as having the opportunity to present at professional education conferences.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $44,720.00 per year
