We are seeking experienced Blown Film Operators to join our Team in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Learn more about South Carolina. We foster a TEAM culture where everyone has input, and everyone contributes to the overall success of the company no matter their position.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Read and follow work order instructions to produce good quality blown film.
• Set up and operate 5 layer and or 7 layer blown film equipment.
• Perform changeovers for bubble size, gauge, resin blends, etc.
• Start up and shutdown co – extrusion lines.
• Setup corona treaters and adjust accordingly per specifications.
• Setup and operate winders.
• Operate core cutter to produce correct core sizes per specifications.
• Operate and perform quality control on equipment and testing.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of machine operating experience

• Blown Film Plastics extrusion: at least 1 year.

• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of resins and additives
• Basic knowledge of co – extrusion computer skills and controls.
• Basic knowledge of math skills and reading a tape measure correctly.
• Knowledge of resin manifold distribution systems.
• Knowledge of film defects such as die lines, melt fracture, etc.
• Knowledge of various resins, additives, and effects each one has on finished product.
• Possess basic troubleshooting skills to ensure good quality products and maintain equipment at standard outputs
• Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor, including but not limited to housekeeping and assisting other employees.
