Department Overview:

Opportunity for growth on the F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) team. This position will ensure the F-35 has a Pratt and Whitney engine forever! The position has upward mobility and exciting challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the ECU Component Interface Coordination Requirement (CICR) function and manage changes through design cycle (Preliminary design, detail design and testing and EIS).
  • Promote usage of parametric approach by working closely with module teams.
  • Run Sub-system Integrated product teams (SSIPT) for key engineering initiatives.
  • Aid in setting up Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Design (MB-DES) tools.
  • Work closely with F135 base program to carry relevant changes to ECU program.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Basic Team center and Unigraphics experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Security Clearance.
  • IT Focal JCL 2 with experience in export jurisdiction and classification.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, create achievable plans, and work with minimal daily supervision.
  • Knowledge of jet engine operation and experience in engineering with module center product knowledge.
  • Basic Teamcenter, xClass and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Excellent Communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with military customers and being comfortable presenting to both military and company leadership.
