Best Home Furnishings is seeking qualified individuals for Fabric Warehouse
Essential functions of the job include the following:
- Uploading fabric rolls from various suppliers
- Entering the fabric into our computerized inventory system
- Generating and attaching bar code tags onto the fabric rolls
- Placing the rolls on the correct storage shelf
- Identifying the correct fabric rolls to be pulled for the day’s production schedule
- Use a handheld computerized scanning device when pulling the fabric rolls
- Transporting the pulled fabric to the fabric cutting department
- Returning the roll and noting the yardage used on the bar code tags
- Other duties as assigned
Job requirements:
- Repetitive pulling, pinching and gripping with both hands
- Transport product on & off work bench
- Maintain consistent work pace.
- Safely operate forklifts and stock pickers
- Able to work scheduled hours on a regular basis, which could include overtime
- Ability to work within a team
- Adhere to quality standards and safety practices as defined in the work instructions.
- Lifting weight: 120 lbs. - maximum 80 lbs. – frequent
Education or experience required: High school or equivalent
