Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Masters degree, or above, in mental health or other healthcare specialty such as a MD degree, Nurse Practitioner license, or Marriage / Family Therapist.
- Must have experience caring for individuals with serious illness
- Must have specialty training in the safe, effective and legal use of Psychedelic medicines
- Ability to conduct preparation, medication, and integration visits with the investigational drug psilocybin
- Becoming thoroughly familiar with the research protocol and the informed consent form document.
- Comprehend the manualized delivery of treatment and the formal procedures for collection of research data.
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
- Available to work dependable, flexible shift
Description of Duties:
- Participation in participant screening, obtaining informed consents.
- Medication sessions will be in-person and are anticipated to be approximately eight hours in duration. All research staff will jointly attend to participant safety and well-being during medication sessions and will remain with the participant throughout the study visit.
- Preparation and integration sessions will occur either in-person or remotely. These sessions will require the use of a manualized behavioral intervention and will be subject to adherence monitoring and iterative quality assurance efforts.
- Active participation in training meetings, staff debriefings, accurate documentation of study activities, adherence to Good Clinical Practices, and intermittent cross-site meetings to improve study coordination and protocol adherence.
- Ability to provide warm, supportive participant care for hours at a time.
- Assessing vital signs, clinical emergencies, and clearly communicating with study medical providers.
- Ability to assist participants with physical transfers and ambulation or coordinating with team members to perform these duties if you cannot.
