Position Summary
The Facilities and Technology Coordinator at OLLI is responsible, in consultation with the executive director, for all aspects of scheduling the Reuter Center (a 20,000 square foot building with multiple classroom and event spaces, dedicated to the use of UNC Asheville’s OLLI program that serves over 2000 older adults) including coordinating event and class schedules with OLLI volunteers and staff, campus groups (including catering, university police, and facilities and operations staff) and community partners and renters to ensure effective program and special event management scheduling and implementation.
The employee in this position, in consultation with the OLLI executive director, IT staff and campus facilities and maintenance staff, manages building and equipment maintenance for the Reuter Center, including project management for purchase and installation of new equipment and coordination of repair projects. The position coordinates building health and safety protocols.
The employee in this position collaborates with College for Seniors staff to coordinate the work of student assistants and supports all OLLI programming and the programming of users of the Reuter Center through maintenance and training in the use of AV equipment and in the use of software and hardware necessary for delivery of online and dual delivery (hybrid) classes.
The position oversees the maintenance of the OLLI website and electronic signs within the facility, trains relevant OLLI staff members to maintain individual sections of the website, and coordinates with the campus webmaster, IT and communications and marketing staff to implement changes to the OLLI website when required.
The person in this position will coordinate with OLLI staff and volunteers to increase and enhance the organization’s content for programs for a local and national audience.

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience scheduling, planning, and managing events for up to 150 people, managing and budgeting projects for routine maintenance and building projects, working with both volunteers and professionals. This person will have a broad knowledge of widely used software and hardware and interest in and ability to learn more. The ability to create and teach systems to users with a wide range of technical capacity is important.

Work Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours.
