Facilities Assistant Job at J Star Motion
Position Summary:
As the Facilities Assistant you will focus on a wide range of maintenance needs including repairing minor building issues, cleaning the interior and exterior of buildings, monitoring, and reporting major repairs. A Facilities Assistant is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. To be successful at this role time management is essential and you will need to manage various tasks on daily basis and ensure operations of the building run smoothly.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Provides a timely and effective response to unanticipated facility needs minimizing risks to team members, maintain safety and avoid interruption of production
2. Conduct snow removal; as necessary
3. Assist maintenance team when required
4. Maintain inventory levels of supplies for assigned properties
5. Facilities projects as needed - could be construction, painting, plumbing, minor electrical, etc.
6. Flexibility
7. Maintain a positive attitude
8. Facility cleanliness
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
1. Operates hand and power tools to complete tasks
2. Ability to life 50+ lbs.
3. Performing other duties as assigned
4. Van driver – parts run
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
