Responsibilities:

  • Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
  • Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Qualifications:

  • BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineer preferred
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience
  • SAP knowledge a plus
  • Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of facilities projects.
  • Plans and submits proper capital budgets required to sustain Facilities and Utilities operations for future years.
  • Knowledge of site’s systems to ensure KPI execution (ie, SAP CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for regulated Facilities systems PMs (Preventive Maintenance) and Corrective Maintenance activities and Service Now for general facilities repairs.)
  • Responsible for goals and proper execution of contracted services (as detailed above) per current Service Contract, Site Work Scope
  • Manage the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.
  • Functional Skills: Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance, Management Software programs (CMMS), Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, Working knowledge of maintenance operations, administrative services, contract management, Effective Communication Skills.
