Advanced Material Solutions (AMS) is a fast-growing company located in scenic western Montana developing ultra high purity silicon materials used as raw materials for semiconductor devices. AMS has an open Facility Maintenance Technician position in our Stevensville, MT location. In this role, you will be part of the AMS team focused on designing, developing, analyzing, and producing specialty silicon gases for customers worldwide.

Facility Maintenance Technician

· Part of a team of experts responsible for production and shipment of silicon-based chemicals worldwide.

· Install and maintain chemical processing equipment including reactors, distillation columns, boilers, chillers, scrubbers, and filters.

· Assist in installation and commissioning of new R&D equipment and processes.

· Interface with AMS engineers and vendors to complete buildout and commissioning during plant expansion construction activities.

· Inspect & test equipment and instrumentation regularly to identify required maintenance or repairs.

· Develop best-in-class methods to track and execute periodic maintenance activities.

· Evaluate equipment performance during processing, troubleshoot, and recommend improvements.

· Maintain accurate and detailed records and data, including KPIs and performance targets.

· Complete daily checklists for production, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

· Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles.

· Maintain the work area to be clean, safe, and organized

Education and/or Experience

· High school degree or equivalent required. Vo-Tech or trade school experience preferred.

· 5+ years of industry experience, preferably with a strong background in chemical equipment operation or maintenance such as petrochemical, refining, pharmaceutical production or CBD extraction.

· Experience interpreting detailed operating instructions and safety protocols such as LOTO and confined space entry.

· Experience with the safe handling of hazardous, toxic, and flammable substances such as solvents and gases.

· Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of manual and automated control systems.

· Knowledge of best practice maintenance procedures such as predictive maintenance and remote monitoring and strong computer skills preferred.

· Applicants with additional skill sets such as welding, fabrication, engineering, electrical, HVAC, and automation experience are given preference where applicable.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to wear a respirator.

· Must be able to work in the USA. The position is located on-site at the AMS Stevensville, MT pilot facility (not remote). Occasional travel to Missoula, MT headquarters may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
