Service Wire is a premier manufacturer of industrial, utility, and commercial wire and cable. Our regional manufacturing location in Culloden, WV is seeking a conscientious and team-oriented Facility Coordinator to join our organization in this full-time position.
Position Summary:
The Facility Coordinator ensures that the work environment is optimal by promoting healthy, safe conditions and providing building maintenance services. Responsibilities include ensuring adequate supply levels, working with external vendors and scheduling maintenance and repairs. Other duties include ensuring the grounds are safe and the upkeep is on schedule, helping to plan the budget, working to manage the interior areas of the facility, and assigning tasks to the proper people for maintaining facilities structure and systems (e.g. fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, or electricity issues).
The role requires working alongside manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, maintenance and management to ensure facilities are maintained to company standards. The successful candidate must be well-organized and able to prioritize multiple issues to maintain an efficient and smooth operation of the physical site.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use
- Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and assigned facilities equipment
- Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment
- Coordinates preventative maintenance on building systems and office space assets
- Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly
- Acts as liaison between Service Wire and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems
- Ensures compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations are followed throughout facility
- Applies, or assists with application, for required environmental and local permits
- Maintains inventory of janitorial supplies and ensures reordering occurs promptly
- Tracks regular facility expenses and maintains an update record of invoices from external partners
- Conducts market research and compares costs and benefits when evaluating new vendors
- Oversees janitorial contractor on-site to maintain acceptable levels of cleanliness
- Designs and oversees scheduling for cleaning and disinfecting the building
- Researches new services and systems to facilitate operations
- Coordinates the office and parking space allocations
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
- Two years’ experience working as a Facility Coordinator or in a similar role
- Previous experience with vendor management and scheduling and invoicing software
- Familiar with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- PMP certification or prior project management experience preferred
- Familiar with environmental, health and safety regulations, such as those set by OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with office equipment and security systems with Avigilon and Resideo experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgement and act quickly during emergencies
- Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions
