Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Factory Accounting Manager to manage the accounting function of Amalgamated Factory operations for our Twin Falls Factory, located in Twin Falls, Idaho. This includes overseeing the preparation of general ledger entries, processing invoices through Accounts Payable, managing the input of hourly employee timecards, preparing analytic operating reports for the management of both plant and agriculture departments, analyzing operations variations from standard costs and accounting for fixed asset additions and retirements.

Additional Responsibilities:
· Ensure compliance with Amalgamated Sugar’s principles, policies, and procedures while providing feedback on identified risks.
· Ensure proper accounting in accordance with GAAP and ensure an adequate level of internal controls.
· Directly supervise and direct the work of the factory accounting department.
· Collaborate with plant management to drive process improvement and cost mitigation and operating margin analysis.
· Work closely with plant and corporate management to develop and implement standard process and procedures.
· Promote a continuous improvement culture through communication and coaching.
· Mentor the Assistant Factory Accounting Manager with a focus on growth and succession.
· Work closely with Factory and Corporate accounting on development and standardization of process and procedures.
· Oversee financial month/year closing activities including journal entries, accounting reconciliations and financial statement records.
· Provide support to the auditors as needed (both internal and external).
· Work with plant management, engineering, and agricultural staff to analyze and prepare operating, maintenance and capital expenditure budgets.
· Monthly account reconciliations.
· Provide financial and non-financial reporting to plant management and agricultural management.
· Fixed Asset tracking and reporting.
· Some travel to assigned locations will be required for internal audits of controls, year-end inventories, and special assignments.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required.
· Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced, including successfully managing a team of remotely based professionals.
· OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
