The Fair Lending Analyst position within CMG is unique in the world of finance in that it combines analyst with activist. - Servicing: loss mitigation, onboarding, complaint resolution
Fair Lending analysis requires a solid understanding of ECOA, the Fair Housing Act and related implementation requirements within the mortgage industry. Fair Lending analysis also requires a solid foundation of basic statistical analysis. In order to conduct Redlining reviews, experience using mapping functionality within Microsoft Excel is critical.
The analyst will possess enough experience in credit underwriting to conduct matched-pair analysis and utilize professional writing skills to support their determinations.
Key Focus:
- Fair Lending analysis and reporting
- Standard and ad hoc regulatory reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze company application, fallout, pricing, market and peer data to help CMG provide unparalleled service to its applicants and customers
- Coordinate with staff and management in all areas of the organization (Marketing, Operations, Risk, Servicing) to better understand internal processes, developing and recording recommendations for improvement or opportunities for recognition
- Coordinate with stakeholders in Compliance, Servicing, Accounting, Licensing, External Audit and Marketing departments to analyze current practices, policies and procedures as they relate to fair lending and regulatory reporting
- Apply current federal laws and regulatory requirements governing mortgage to analysis (i.e., Fair Housing, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, etc.)
- Complete ad hoc Fair Lending Analysis (marketing, pricing, underwriting, fallout, redlining, matched-pairs, regression, etc.)
- Communicate recommendations for expanding reviews and/or operational and marketing functions as they relate to fair lending
- Uphold business continuity principles by documenting processes and tracking projects proactively and consistently in coordination with the team
Other requirements:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in the mortgage industry (origination, servicing, insurance) with at least 2 of those years in a compliance-related capacity (some underwriting or quality control experience preferred)
- Mortgage-specific loan origination system experience (prefer experience with Byte Pro)

Standard office environment, equipment and tasks, including work at a computer terminal.
This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.
Base Compensation Information – This is a remote role that can be performed from within the United States. Residents of the states of CA & CO, and for New York City are excluded from this remote role at this time. Information regarding base wages provided upon request.
