Position Summary

As a CNAHSI Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be part of a Care Team that is focused on providing the very best in patient experience. You will provide patient-centered quality health care within a community-based setting and strives to improve the general health and well-being of our patients (children to geriatrics) through prevention, education, and treatment. Activities involved direct patient care, physical assessment, diagnosis and treatment, provision of preventative care, referral for specialty services as needed and follow-up.

Classification: Full-time, exempt

Salary: From $90,000/ year

Core Job Responsibilities: Essential Functions Include but not limited to:

Direct Patient Care (Infants and Adults)

Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and complies patent medical data, including health history and result of physical examinations.

Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram and laboratory tests and interprets test results deviations from normal 3.

Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care and managing infection.

Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living and health maintenance.

Positively impact patient experience by demonstrating values of transforming care including, but not limited to, courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy.

Display knowledge of normal signs of human development and ability to assess and provide age-appropriate care.

Clinical Administration

1. Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes and assists in provision of continuity of care.

2. Performs all the above in accordance with CNAHSI practice protocols and under the guidance and supervision of the supervising MD.

3. Keep informed of organizational activities and promote the mission and goals of the CNAHSI. Functions at highest level according to credentials and competency.

What You Will Need:

· Master’s degree in the field of Science of Nursing from an accredited program.

· Must be board certified with a National Nursing Certification Board as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

· Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Alabama

· DEA license

· BLS Certification

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities strongly preferred, but not required.

· At least 2 years’ experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient clinical setting, preferably a primary care practice, desired.

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong oral and written communication skills.

· Experience with information technology, electronic health records, culturally diverse populations, and care of underserved populations.

Required Health Records Documentation: Negative TB skin test performed within the past 12 months or negative chest x-ray and no evidence of symptoms or completion of treatment. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Annual Flu vaccination is required. A physical will be required if hired.
