The Family Services Specialist is part of a team who ensures that trauma-informed, whole family services occur which facilitate child development, support parental roles, build healthy social/emotional relationships and promote economic mobility and self-sufficiency through one-on-one coaching to families and case coordination.
This position requires regular travel to make contact with staff, families, and other agencies. Some evening and weekend work may be required for events such as home visits, family meetings, social or community events, parent education sessions etc.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or relevant field. Fieldwork or other relevant work experience preferred.
● Knowledge of community services and experience or knowledge of trauma-informed practices, family strengths/family centered practice preferred.
● Must have knowledge of issues faced by low-income population and understanding of local healthcare and social service resources as well as governmental and social services programs.
Compensation: This position offers a starting rate of $18.00 per hour.
