Premix Plant Associate

Belstra Milling Company is a world-class feed manufacturing facility. Belstra is in search of a self-motivated, detail-oriented premix plant associate to work within our brand new state of the art premix plant. Belstra Milling is committed to producing the highest quality, most nutritious feeds available. Additionally, as a proud certified Safe Feed/Safe Food facility, our manufacturing and quality assurance processes and standards exceed current industry regulations. The operator must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Set up hand add ingredients and put hand add ingredients in for batches
• Keep micro-bins full of correct materials
• Unpackage ingredients
• Rotate stock and keep correct inventory control
• Place medications in micro-bins full of correct inventory, set up hand add medications, and properly record medication usage
• Weigh-in and record all inbound medications
• Accurately read feed formula tickets
• Measure by hand certain feed ingredients and set up orders
• Assemble ingredients in accordance with quality assurance policies, SOPs, and current GMPs
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and routine housekeeping
• Operate a forklift
• Capable of completing tasks correctly while focusing on quality, service, and safety

Physical Demands:

• Ability to regularly lift 60 pounds
• Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance
• Work near moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work in dusty, cold, hot, humid environment
• Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• This position requires the ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, etc.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
