Farm Market Assistant

Wedding and special events florist seeking experienced business assistants and interns for the 2023 season

Breezy Hill Blooms, LLC is a flower farm and event florist, our farmer-florist business model is very unique. We’re looking for an assistant for our booths, bouquet bar, flower truck and farm markets for the 2023 season.

Our main season runs March - December, busiest with markets in May through October. We have other job openings with their own busy season such as ‘Field Assistant’ ‘Wedding Event Coordinator - Remote’ ‘Freelance Floral Designer’ and ‘Delivery Driver’

Although this is a freelance position, offering no full-time benefits - this position has the potential to combine with additional open position listed above most likely as ‘Delivery Driver’ and ‘Field Assistant’

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or equivalent educational course/certification
• Work Authorization Paperwork
• Ability to work independently and effectively within time window
• Willingness to learn technique and floral knowledge
• Ability to work with and troubleshoot point-of-sale mobile system as well as count money.
• Ability to travel to events (as needed)
• Clean driving record, as company vehicle will be form of transport
• Ability to drive and act responsibly as a representative of the company
• Ability to install table/canopy and setup
• Ability to lift 40lbs as the job demands
• Enthusiastic personality with exceptional in-person communication skills
• Previous market or farmstand experience (preferred)
• Internship status available, working toward a 2-4yr degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Floriculture or equivalent (preferred)

Job Description(s):

• Flexible schedule
• Mainly Weekend availability, day availability
• Required to commute to or within 30 miles of “Hoosick Falls, 12090”
• Able to commute to event if needed
• 2-6 hour working windows as job demands
• Temporary position, Part-Time
• Seeking 10-20 hours per week as job demands
• Starting at $15-20 per hour, depending on availability, performance and experience
