Field Service Technician (Hospital Equipment) Job at TekPro
TekPro is a Direct-hire recruiting firm based in Oak Brook, IL focused on the medical manufacturing industry. Our client is a leader in the medical gas industry and is looking for a dedicated entry-level Field Service Technician to bring on to their team long-term. This job would be great for someone who is mechanically inclined and interested in a career as a maintenance technician and likes to travel to customer locations.
GENERAL SUMMARY The Service Technician provides field and inside support activities which include corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and warranty evaluations. The Technician is required to provide quality service and support of all source air and vacuum equipment and components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies with the objective of minimizing customer downtime.
Key Responsibilities (included But Not Limited To)
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot issues to repair Ohio Medical source equipment.
- Provides support for inside sales.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and product manuals.
- Limited overnight travel up to several days for field service assignments. Occasionally short notice is given.
Professional Experience
- 1 - 3 years of electrical/mechanical experience required
- Customer / Field Service experience preferred
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree / Technical Certificate preferred
Travel (estimated % of the time)
- Domestic approximately 25%
- Frequent overnight travel, sometimes with short notice.
PERSONAL TRAIT PROFILE
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Positive customer relations skills
- Good documentation practices and attention to detail
- Able to perform work assignments with little to no supervision
- Must possess or be able to obtain a passport
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
