Position overview:
Responsible for all aspects of weekly client invoicing and processing of weekly payroll 200+ employees. Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Processes new hire paperwork and submits E-verify cases.
- Collects driver timesheets and obtains management approval for processing.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
- Creates itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents.
- Performs general bookkeeping work, which may include entering data and maintaining records, invoices, and supporting documents of amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
- Contacts customers to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary.
- Assists with AR and AP functions.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Skills and qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook preferred
- Knowledgeable in payroll compliance requirements.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues.
- Victorious/Winner personality.
Experience
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in finance or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of related experience required.
