Position Summary:
Advises parents regarding the financial aid process and provides information on available programs, procedures and eligibility. Chairs the financial aid committee, evaluates students’ financial aid requests and monitors tuition collection and arrearage.
Major/Essential Functions
· Assist in the development, implementation, administration and management of the financial aid program of Roman Catholic, and all responsibilities necessary to the assessment, improvement and maintenance of the program.
· Provide personal assistance and information to parents regarding financial aid programs and services.
· Counsels parents and aid recipients regarding the cost of attendance, methods of payment and management of financial responsibilities.
· Chairs the Financial Aid Committee, posts awards, grants, scholarships or other discounts in the FACTS Tuition, the Tuition Assistance Grid, and notifies parents of awards.
· Ensures that all student records are posted in the Tuition Management System and reconciles this with enrollment in the Student Information System.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with parents, students, and Advancement personnel.
· Conduct financial aid presentations and assist families in the application process.
· Monitor academic progress of students receiving financial aid.
· Maintain student files in FACTS Tuition and audit periodically for accuracy and completeness
· Enforce school and system policies concerning tuition and fee collection.
· Monitor tuition payments and consistent follow-up with families whose tuition accounts are in arrears.
· Prepare all necessary reports on the status of tuition collection and those required for the annual audit of tuition records.
Requisite Skills
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support interaction with parents from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and a commitment to provide outstanding parents’ support services.
· Ability to prepare and deliver public presentations; skill in both verbal and written communication.
· Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, mail-merge, and related software applications.
· Ability to interpret, apply and explain policies, procedures regarding the financial aid process.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in the education or business fields from an accredited institution of higher education, preferred
· Three to five years of financial aid administration experience.
· Prior experience with Accounts Receivable management
Work Conditions

· Some evening and weekend hours will be required
