JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst provides analytical support to leadership. This position will regularly interact with senior levels of management. The position is responsible for generating and distributing financial and operating analyses on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The information generated assists executive level management in making critical decisions. This unique position offers a highly ambitious candidate the opportunity to learn all facets of the industrial gas business through interactions with the highest level of management. This position will challenge the individual to perform at the highest level. It offers the right candidate the ability to fast track their career by utilizing their skillset to directly impact a $300M+ regional business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report and analyze financial and operating metrics, such as same-store sales, gross margin, operating expenses, asset utilization, capital expenditures, etc.
- Generate and distribute the monthly financial and operations dashboards for all levels of management
- Generate and distribute monthly reporting on sales growth
- Perform extensive modeling in support of strategic pricing initiatives, as well as all other profitability and efficiency projects
- Support the annual budget process, working closely with finance, sales and operations.
- Support the division’s migration of reporting from Microsoft Excel to Power BI
- Partner with business leaders and serve as project manager on key strategic projects
- Continually look for opportunities to improve effectiveness of financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for leadership
- Interact with FP&A in the accumulation and management of data used to monitor strategic plan achievement
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested by leadership
- Spend time directly supporting field constituents in order to develop personal skills, business understanding, and bring fresh insight to their business
- Participate with other team members on M&A initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Periodic travel will be required. Up to 25%
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related business discipline; MBA a plus, but not required
- Three to five years of work experience in a financial role
- Experience modeling and manipulating large sets of data
- Adept Excel skills required; G-Suite experience a plus
- SAP, Business Warehouse, Hyperion, and/or Power BI experience a plus, but not necessary. Candidate must be willing to learn these applications upon hiring
