Financial Analyst – Indianapolis
Job Description
The Financial Analyst will manage and coordinate all aspects of accounting. Responsibilities
include performing analyses of revenue, credit, expenses, and overhead. This position will
closely monitor A/R and A/P and work closely with the CEO to help make critical decisions
about investment funding, credit extension, and expense management. The Financial Analyst
will also assist with sales and marketing to ensure new contracts are processed internally,
support employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, and process payroll, 401k, and
insurance information.
Responsibilities include:
- Financial processes
invoicing, deposits/incoming ACH & Wire Transfers, ACH payments to vendors,
credit card reconciliation
- Manage cash flow
- Manage the general ledger and devote time to risk management, especially with
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and
- Generate and monitor key performance ratios
- Ensure the monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations are performed
- Ensure the processing of monthly credit card bill and distribution of
- Support budget and forecasting activities
- Track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation
- Create written reports that enable the management team to make strategic
- Respond to inquiries from the CEO, CBO, and Directors regarding financial results,
- Work with the outside Accounting Auditor to ensure a clean and timely year end
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to
- Establish benchmarks for financial processes
- Support special projects and workflow process improvements
- Sales and Marketing (Business Development)
- Provide sales operations support by managing the process from the front-end
appropriate company systems (e.g., timekeeping system, company cloud storage
system, QuickBooks Online, etc.) in a timely manner
- Provide financial analysis support to Business Development/Chief Business Officer
strategic business initiatives and decision-making
- Human Resources
- Onboard new employees: Set up payroll information in payroll services, order credit
- Off board employees and ensure that online access is rerouted to appropriate
- Complete monthly payroll time sheet
- Enroll new employees after 90 days in 401k & insurance plans
- Order up-to-date information on 401k & insurance plan booklets
- Process all changes for payroll, direct deposits, 401k & insurance in a timely manner
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably with a major in accounting, finance, economics, or
- Proven experience working as a financial analyst and/or accountant
- Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software applications
- Effective reporting, presenting, and communication (oral and written) skills
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to work with large datasets
- Strategic thinking and organizational skills
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
- Capable of initiating new projects and working independently
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong customer service focus
- Highly skilled in handling sensitive and confidential situations and information with
- Working knowledge of MS Office 365
Additional preferred qualifications:
- CFA credentials
- Proven experience in project management tools
- Knowledge of corporate finance, information analysis, and financial diagnosis
- Proven expertise in principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
