Financial Analyst Job at Robert Half

Conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans will be the main responsibilities in this position. Other daily assignments will include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. Responsibilities
1. Create, maintain, review, and reforecast the corporate and property’s annual budgets.
2. Prepare the weekly cash report and monthly cash projections as needed.
3. Review the monthly property financial reports and provide commentary and visibility into financial performance for executive management.
4. Prepare job costing, contract management, and reporting on construction projects in the portfolio.
5. Forecast property financial performance which will be reported to on-site management, executive management, principals, and lenders.
6. Assist in quarterly, semi-annual and annual tax filings
7. Assist with year-end tax projections for ownership.
8. Review lender-related accounts semi-annually and to ensure lender or self-impounds are accurate. Forecast supplemental property tax calculations as part of the analysis.
9. Manage/support ad-hoc reporting needs as requested.
10. Foster permanent improvement of the financial reporting by preforming ongoing analysis of processes and providing recommended solutions for business process issues.
11. Create new analyses of business trends by creating visual representations such as charts, tables, and graphs.
12. Support automated internal financial reporting.
13. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Manager of Financial Reporting, Controller, or President.

- Strong problem-solving skills
- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Strong communication and social skills
- Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)
- 2+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
- Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- Financial analysis experience
- Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience desired
- Budgeting experience
- Budget forecasting experience preferred
