A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCIAL ANALYST

As a Financial Analyst, you support the entirety of Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife Foundation, including the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, Top of the Rock, and Dogwood Canyon Nature Park by monitoring and analyzing our current financial data for accuracy and trends while also utilizing data to model future revenues and expenses. Always in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), you work closely with our accounting department-assisting them with special projects as needed and preemptively alerting the Controller if you notice any downturn in business.

You prepare budget reports, financial reports, and ad-hoc reports for managers and senior leaders as well as build custom Power BI dashboards to monitor financial and operational KPIs. Utilizing your understanding of our company and your creative problem-solving skills, you invent new ways to define and measure program effectiveness and organizational productivity. You get great satisfaction out of helping our business reach our revenue goals and feel good knowing your hard work is also contributing to the conservation of our native wildlife!


WORK SCHEDULE FOR A FINANCIAL ANALYST

The typical work schedule for our Financial Analyst is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
