Pay Range: $33- $35 per hour
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
- Minimum of four years accounting or bookkeeping experience (including two years of professional accounting experience as Accounting Manager or Financial Analyst), including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Ability to operate computer and other general office equipment.
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, spreadsheets
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Creates financial transactions and generates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from source documents as invoices to members and guests, cash receipts and supplier invoices. The financial analyst reconciles and resolves posting issues, maintains the integrity of financial data, prepares ad-hoc reports for the Controller and Treasurer, is strategic in their thinking and strives for useful data and information.

Job Tasks/Duties
- Maintains journals, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventories, general journal, payroll and personnel files, tax reports, depreciation accounts, and financial statements.
- Produces computer reports including general ledger, monthly supporting documents and spreadsheets, reviews budgets, resolves anomalies and develops various monthly financial statements.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts.
- Collects all cash and receipts from all cash registers.
- Reconciles all bank statements.
- Manages the petty cash fund.
- Maintains an orderly accounting and filing system.
- Maintains the chart of accounts.
- Reviews all club bills and invoices after approval for payment.
- Reviews weekly payroll journal for accuracy with GL posting.
- Prepares inventory worksheet and crosschecks prices paid with bid quotations and invoice prices.
- Prepares quarterly and annual tax reports and other tax reports.
- Provides membership and financial management information for the Controller, General Manager, Board of Directors and committee chairpersons.
- Assists Controller on all matters related to computer applications, annual and special audits, insurance and employment records.
- Answers members’ questions regarding billing.
- Assists in preparation of other accounting reports and helps Controller as necessary.
- Reviews point-of-sale (POS) reports from revenue centers.
- Assists with membership vote tallies.
- Attends departmental and club training meetings.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Controller.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
