JOB SUMMARY:
Administers the Company’s fiscal record keeping. Prepares and maintains timely and accurate financial, budget, and special reports for management, internal and external auditors, regulatory agencies, and Board of Directors. Assists with safeguarding the Company’s assets. Administers the Company’s accounting system to maintain accurate financial records. Develops, plans and recommends policies and procedures for the proper financial control of the company. Coordinates the accounting activities of the company with other departments. Supervises the Accounting, Finance, & Management Reporting associates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of Accounting, Finance, and Management Reporting associates.
- Assistant Cashier to assist in the monitoring of cash levels for the Company.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and special reports required by the company’s management, Board of Directors, external and internal auditors, Federal Reserve, or other regulatory agencies.
- Prepare, coordinate, and maintain annual budget for the Company, include comparing to actual results and explain fluctuations.
- Prepare and coordinate the Company’s annual audit report, with supporting documentation, with associates and the auditing company.
- Maintain adequate accounting and controls for various accounting functions for the Company, including cash & cash equivalents, investments, loans, receivables, fixed assets, intangibles, deposits, borrowings, accounts payable, leases, tax, shareholder accounting, other assets and other liabilities.
- Manage and maintain the internal reporting process for the Company, including monthly financial reports, regulatory reports, audit reports, budget reports, ALM reports, interest rate risk analysis, branch reports, other management reports and dashboards. Include monitoring and reporting material fluctuations.
- Manage, maintain, and monitor company’s reconcilement process for the Company balance sheet general ledger accounts and internal deposit accounts.
- Manage and coordinate in the development of automated accounting systems and procedures.
- Manage and coordinate the Company’s cash management, vendor management, and contract management processes.
- Assist in acquisitions on pro-forma financial information, due diligence, and regulatory applications.
- Participate and assist with company functions when possible.
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Qualifications:
1. 4-year Degree with accounting emphasis and 10+ years’ experience or master’s degree or CPA equivalent.
2. In-depth knowledge of bank organization and structure.
3. Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).
4. Supervisory skills.
5. Demonstrated record of achievement in social and/or extracurricular and leadership skills.
6. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.
7. Professional appearance.
8. Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
9. Self-sufficient / self-starting.
10. Ability to adjust to flexible hours.
11. PC experience required.
12. Microsoft Excel, Word, computer, and 10-key skills required.
13. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, selling skills, team skills and time management.
14. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Physical Requirements:
