We are looking for an on-site Controller who must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills, and should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Duties:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
  • Manage and perform all banking functions, including Wire/ACH payments.
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
  • Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting to enhance that process.
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to and coordinating the activities of external auditors.
  • Manages and prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, making all timely tax filings and tax payments, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and retaining skilled employees.

Management:

· Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

· Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner & discounts are utilized.

· Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.

· Perform all banking interactions and functions, including Wire & ACH activities.

· Ensure that monthly bank reconciliations are completed.

· Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.

· Maintain the chart of accounts and an orderly accounting filing system.

· Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.

Reporting:

· Issue timely, accurate, and complete financial statements.

· Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.

· Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.

· Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.

· Provide for a system of management cost reports.

· Provide financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Compliance:

· Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

· Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.

· Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings and payments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 6 - 10 years of related experience
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • GAAP knowledge
  • SAP ERP- Business one (Highly desirable)
  • Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
  • Leadership
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships with Operations to ensure timely and accurate recording of business activities

· Note that the Company currently uses QuickBooks - familiarity with this specific system is helpful

· Experience working for a private equity owned company is greatly preferred.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
