Job Description:
Tranco Global is seeking an outgoing, self motivated, critical thinking individual to fulfill the role of Financial Planning & Analysis Associate at our headquarters in Chattanooga, TN. This requires analyzing the historical financials of a multilocation organization, playing a vital role in creating a financial plan in line with the organization’s initiatives, and completing multilocation budgets and sales projections. This represents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious team player looking to flourish in a rapidly growing organization. As a financial analyst, you will directly impact the company by providing support and thorough analysis that helps leadership make informed, datadriven decisions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with reporting and forecasting
- Creation of monthly reporting packages for leadership
- Participate in ad hoc projects and analyses in support of companywide operations
- Monthly close and related processing and development and preparation of analysis
- Tracking of the annually approved budget, collection of the monthly future forecast, and billing costs
- Applies financial modeling and formulas to data and provides advice and recommendations on decisions having minor impact on department or company
- Calculates unit cost, labor cost, overhead allocation, and/or contract, services, and material cost needed to develop budgets, compare actual to budgeted costs to support variance analysis and forecasting with direction and supervision
- Builds detailed analysis and reports utilizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Assist in the development of annual budget and periodic forecasts
- Coordinate regional fixed asset activity and assist in capital expenditure review and reporting
- Maintain accuracy in all functions
- Work in a goal oriented environment
- Maintain professional conduct with colleagues and customers
- Adhere to Tranco policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
- MBA or CPA License preferred, but not required
- 1 year or more of relevant work experience
- Must be a flexible, self starter with the ability to work independently
- Team player with drive and high integrity; positive attitude and ability to motivate
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to validate results of analyses by reconciling with data from other sources
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel
- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles
