Responsibilities:

  • Assist Supervisors with Safety Tailgate trainings on a weekly basis for the departments.
  • Accompany injured employees to First Aid office if Supervisor is unable to.
  • Transport (non-emergency) injured employee for off-site medical treatment when needed.
  • Assist Supervisor's in conducting the investigation for SIR's.
  • Work with employees and supervisors to identify and correct conditions through the plant.
  • Conduct Safety Audits, STOP observations.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation.
  • Communicate with Human Resources and Shift Supervisors for any employee needs.
  • Document in the electronic first aid logs any work injuries and follow up with employees.
  • Help translate between supervisory staff and seasonal employees.
  • Collects/collates/reports and performs a variety of additional clerical duties as assigned by the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, including the stocking of supplies, tracking of employee safety equipment, updating plant postings/posters, and the maintenance and upkeep of employee records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification preferred
  • CDL is required
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft application (Work, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail Oriented
  • Flexible/Open availability
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Bilingual preferred
