Primary Objective
The Fleet Maintenance Manager will oversee all shop activities and a business partner to the operations team to ensure that the maintenance of all company equipment is being completed in a safe and timely manner. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will be consistently reviewing and auditing all maintenance programs in order to ensure success of the maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fleet compliance by ensuring daily inspections of all company vehicles that are governed under the Federal and State regulatory agencies (Federal Motor Carrier, CHP).
- Track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
- Prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
- Manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
- Technical competence with light/medium/heavy duty vehicle, equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
- Display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
- Managing audits, PM schedules.
About You
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- Must have at least 3-5 years and relevant experience managing the maintenance functions of an industrial maintenance shop.
- Must have experience managing Maintenance Technicians.
- MS Office skills.
- Customer service attributes.
- Experience working with 50 + vehicles (gasoline and diesel) CDL is a plus.
- Experience working on construction equipment a plus.
- ASE or manufacture's certifications a plus.
- Diesel Mechanic Certifications a plus.
