Farm Job Description
This is an exciting position for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, is
excellent at multitasking, understands “sense of urgency”, and likes to do different jobs
throughout the work day.
Your primary objective is to show our customers outstanding service and deliver a fun, friendly
experience. They will want to return again and again because they feel genuinely cared for and
enjoy visiting the Market & Cafe.
As well as Retail Job Duties you will work the Barista station and the Cafe Line. You
must have or be able to get a food safety handler’s cert.
Welcome and greet customers, by making eye contact, smiling and saying hello
- Answer questions and enthusiastically help customers find the best choice
- Operate the POS system in an efficient, friendly manner
- Bag groceries with care
- Maintain clean register stations, store shelves, and community area
- Take out garbage, compost and recycling
- Perform side work during shift if required by managers
- Be knowledgeable about products, cafe menu, events/activities, and farm history
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned; follow, complete, verify checklists
- Receive, unload, verify, stock, and rotate deliveries
Barista Station Duties include:
Prepare coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques for drinks such as,
- Maintains safe and clean work station by following safety standards and sanitation
regulations. Keeps the station replenished throughout the day. Washing dishes, etc.
Cafe Line Duties include:
Make and serve entire menu of sandwiches using the proper portions in a fast,
- Follow all FIFO rotation, keep station stocked and fresh.
- Cut and prep vegetables, make dressings/spreads/etc.
- Keeps the work area and any utensils needed clean
- Manages food products in order to reduce waste
- Washing dishes; open or close station.
