Job Summary
Responsible for ordering, receiving, and maintaining all food, beverage, paper, cleaning, and smallware’s supplies used in the Food and Beverage Division in a safe and secure, organized manner. Responsible for the distribution of all products throughout the Charlotte Convention Center. Responsible for staffing, training, and operating the Food and Beverage Division Warehouse in a clean and safe manner. Responsible for the accounting of and reporting of all cost-of-sales for the Food and Beverage Division. Responsible for conducting all inventory counts of food and beverage in the Charlotte Convention Center, warehouse, concessions, and kitchen areas. Responsible for administering the Accounts Payable invoices of all Food and Beverage Division deliveries. Must work closely with the Accounts Payable department and distributors to ensure that invoices are processed correctly and in a timely fashion.

Essential Job Duties*
*
Monitors activity of all buying for entire facility. Procurement of items is based on qualitative and contract adherence. Budgets will be partnered with departmental leaders; which Purchasing/Supply Chain leader will monitor spend management.
- Manufacturer and purvey or partnership is managed by forecasting and constant communication of needs.
- Oversee all activity of Food & Beverage receiving, storage, and distribution. Storage management to be maintained safely and securely
- Systems will be continually updated for transfer process to ensure accurate traceability of supply chain flow.
- Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.
- Oversees the loading, unloading, and stocking of all inventory and product for the F&B Department.
- Organizes and maintains warehouse pars and inventory.
- Follows standard inventory controls and procedures conducting a monthly count and annual external audit.
- Monitors and Updates Pricing of line items.
- Inventories and orders GBAC PPE adhering to par levels set.
- Collaborates with food and beverage ordering managers to ensure products are received and routed correctly.
- Verifies the correct location of stock in the warehouse or other storage areas as it is received.
- Populates a monthly Food Waste Sheet
- Prepares adequate amounts of food for events using the attendance and type of event as a guideline.
- Research, records, and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving and excess stock.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Research discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends strategies to resolve and prevent.
- Personnel responsibilities to include training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluation of all warehouse personnel, coordination of training activities, developing a team atmosphere, and monitoring all employees through performance appraisals, coaching, and/or corrective feedback.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Maintain strong links with 3rd party suppliers through regular meetings and ensure that any issues are being addressed
- Assisting with annual planning and implementation of capital expenditures.
- Ordering and maintaining all inventory levels of food, beverage, paper, cleaning and small-ware supplies used in Food Operations.
- Working closely with accounts payable to process all food operations invoicing and payments.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with vendors and business partners.
- Leading a team of talented Food Services employees.
- Preparing bids for Food Operations equipment, supplies and inventory items.
- Responsible for receiving and unloading trucks, verify accuracy of shipments and ensure the quality or condition of the product being received is safe and acceptable. Ensure that all incoming product is properly received and/or documented and accurately entered into the inventory system
- Responsible for all product deliveries and that outgoing orders are delivered correctly to the stands in a timely fashion on a daily basis to meet the demands of the business
- Responsible for training staff on proper unloading, receiving, storage, and delivery procedures and to follow up to see these standards are being maintained.
- Assist in ensuring that proper stock levels are maintained to meet business needs and that stock is properly rotated and within date.
- Responsible for monitoring and enforcing daily operational maintenance and upkeep of all warehouse equipment and ensuring all work, storage and service areas are cleaned and meet State and Federal requirements for sanitation and storage of food items
- Responsible for the bagging and delivery of bagged ice to the Charlotte Convention Center facilities as needed.
- Assist in purchasing product as needed as well as complete and maintain accurate inventories of all products held in the warehouse facilities
- Development of the team and continuous improvement in the performance of all team members by setting clear and challenging goals and objectives.
- Work with all staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Communicate via two-way radio.
- Maintain professional attire, image and demeanor always.
- Attend all meetings as required.
- Comply with all CRVA and Convention Center policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Supervises part time employees in the kitchen area and warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; participate in budget preparation, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements*

Ability to operate forklifts, manual & electric pallet jacks, handcarts, ice machines and other mechanical equipment used in the warehouse.
- Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to communicate information effectively to managers, customers and the general public.
- Knowledge of warehouse techniques, working knowledge of computer spreadsheets and word processing programs, i.e. Word, Excel, etc. General office equipment experience.
- Initiative, the ability to work independently, strong customer service orientation, strong written and verbal skills and flexibility, vision and creativity.
- High level of accountability, quality and innovation (strives for high performance, emphasizes problem prevention, develops ideas for improvement, document new processes, and ensures accuracy of information.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an organized, detailed manner, given limited time frames.

Education and Experience*

10+ years in a Purchasing/Supply Chain role
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five to ten years related experience in a high-volume banquet facility and F&B Warehouse with purchasing duties; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
