RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
  • All Front of the House Bars and Restaurant Staff


SCOPE AND MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • Responsible for the total operation of Bars and Restaurants.
  • Sets the standards for excellence in service to exceed guest satisfaction and expectations.


SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES

  • The Food & Beverage Supervisor must have complete knowledge of legal requirements including but not limited to labor laws, health and safety requirements and liquor laws including gaming regulations as they apply to the food and beverage operation.
  • It is his/her responsibility to coordinate food and liquor service activities of the bars and restaurants and to forecast food and beverage needs.
  • The Food & Beverage Supervisor controls all cleaning and maintenance of equipment and fixtures on a daily basis, arranges for repairs, and other services for all bar and restaurant outlets.
  • He/she investigates and resolves food and beverage quality and service complaints.
  • The Food & Beverage Supervisor inspects bars and restaurants on a daily basis to ensure cleanliness.
  • He/she directs hiring, scheduling, training, motivation, appraising, and terminating of personnel.
  • The Food & Beverage Supervisor will review financial information such as sales and costs, and will also monitor budget to ensure profitability while exceeding guest expectations.

PREREQUISITES

General:

  • Must be age 21 or older.
  • Must qualify for Tribal Gaming License.

Education:

  • Minimum of two years college education preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management preferable.
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Requires good written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage service and product.
  • Must understand and possess a strong sense of cost control.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Verifiable experience in food service operation at a supervisory capacity.

Physical:

  • Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to six (6) hours in length, and have the ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 50 to 60 hours a week.
