Food Services Assistant - Full Time and Part Time
As a Food Services Assistant you have the creative ability to help prepare and cook delicious seasonal menus to be served on the buffet line. The kitchen staff prides itself with serving not only fresh and balanced diet meals, but flavorful and eye-catching presentation.
What you'll do:
- Follow menus and standardize recipes for food preparation;
- Review menu changes with Food Services Manager;
- Prepare meals/do baking as outlined in Shift responsibilities;
- Assist in food preparation for special functions;
- Check food for taste, texture, temperature, and portion control;
- Arrange food attractively for service;
- Check stock for needs and report needs to food Services Manager;
- Put away stock;
- Required to clean equipment, etc.. according to posted cleaning schedules;
- Follow established policies and procedures regarding sanitation.
What you bring:
- High School diploma or GED
- 6+ months relative experience a plus (willing to train)
- Availability to work every other weekend
- Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
- A creative and collaborative spirit
