James Marine, Inc., is now hiring for a night shift FOREMAN located in Hahnville, LA!

Responsible for the oversight and coordination of duties throughout shipyard and vessels. Must be able to maintain effective communication with all positions to ensure the timely and accurate completion of duties. Must have knowledge of towboat systems and how to repair them.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

1. Associate must possess/maintain a working knowledge of various shipyard positions to ensure proper training and satisfactory performance of job duties of all team members.

2. Associate must be able to lead/participate in recurring meetings with various levels of management and plan, coordinate and assign job duties to team members.

3. Associate must be able to coordinate efforts to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment, which includes but is not limited to disassembly, root cause analysis, implementing corrective measures, reassembly and testing of device.

4. Associate must oversee all aspects of job site safety and enforce protocols as deemed necessary according to company safety standards and the United States Coast Guard safety standards.

5. Associate must be able to access various levels of shipyard and vessels to monitor team members and audit performance.

6. Associate must be able to perform routine inspections of completed projects and ensure quality standards are met.

7. Associate may assist team members with the completion of various job duties as necessary.

8. Associate must be able to compete basic cleaning duties such as cleaning job site and discarding trash.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS & SPECIALIZED SKILL

• Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance.

• Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.

• On the job training, regular training and re-certification required.

• Ability to work alone for extended periods and in teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 per hour
