Forklift Driver Job at Prime-Line Products LLC
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates forklift which includes lifting, moving and positioning heavy loads of materials between shelves or onto another type of transport.
- Manually or mechanically loads or unloads materials.
- Inspects product load for accuracy and safely moves it around the warehouse to ensure timely and complete delivery.
- Follows safety guidelines and procedures related to the care and operation of the forklift.
- Keeps the forklift clean, safe and charged or full of fuel.
- Conducts a regular inspection of the forklift to ensure safe operation.
- May keep track of materials moved for stocking purposes.
- Assembles specific loads onto a common pallet for shipping.
- Participates in training related to safe operation, safety procedures, and working with hazardous materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Valid forklift certification preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience highly preferred.
- Ability to accomplish assigned projects utilizing strong communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to perform high quality work within assigned deadlines.
- Ability to focus on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.
- Ability to provide service with integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to streamline processes through necessary skill sets.
- Regular, timely attendance.
- Strong ability to work well in a variety of team environments.
